Finishing
Resin parts can be sanded and coated, so they look like a finished product rather than a print. Add finishing on the price page after choosing a resin.
Options
- Sanding: smooths away support marks and layer lines. Can be added on its own.
- Gloss coat: shiny, smooth finish. Includes sanding.
- Matte coat: looks like molded plastic. Includes sanding. Our pick for looks-like prototypes in Standard Resin Black.
Clear parts
Clear resin comes off the printer see-through but hazy, with faint layer lines. Two finishes:
- Crystal clear: sanded & glazed for full transparency.
- Frosted: even, frosted-glass look.
Clear finishing takes longer. Channels and cavities inside a part can’t be polished and stay frosted.
Not offered
- Standard Resin Grey: it’s made for priming and painting yourself.
- Elastic (rubber-like) resin.
- Plastic (FDM) parts: no sanding or smoothing for now.
